well, there you go: still on a trip i have just learned that i failed my last exam (unit 3) of my wset diploma. 

i deserve it. no question 

in fact, it is actually a good thing that i failed.  i was so busy last year and focused so much energy on completing my assignments (most of which I passed with merit) that i only had energy left to study like someone who just wanted to pass.

so now I have to resit and resit i will.  i plan to do properly this time and you can be sure that when i sit down to redo the exam in june 2009, I will do it like a wine expert I am supposed to be.

for this, i will use this site to help me study and digest the material i have to assimilate.  tasting notes will be more frequent and will be very much written in the wset style.  With more conclusions and explanations of each wines i taste. 

there will also be more articles about the various wine regions I need to cover as well as wine laws, business issues, and others.

i will start in november and continue until may.  self-studies, research and many many tastings.
