Join me for a series of 3 masterclasses on the wines of Burgundy at The Fine Wine Center.
These courses are designed to help to demystify this famous wine region. The classes focus on the key appellations, grape varieties, the characteristics of the wines as well as the influence of wine-making techniques on style.
They are perfect for the avid beginner, or for those who have wine knowledge and are seeking to improve their tasting technique while gaining more detailed knowledge about Burgundy.
Only Premium wines are served during these classes.
Discovery - Tuesday 1st June
Through a tasting of 3 white and 3 red wines you will compare the difference between the major villages of Burgundy and gain an understanding of the differing styles.
White Wines - Tuesday 8th June
Focusing in more detail, this will be a comparative tasting between six of the key white wine styles of Burgundy providing you with valuable information on what style to expect behind the label. This class includes Premier and Grand Cru level wines.
Red Wines - Tuesday 15th June
This session will take you through a comparative tasting of six of the key red wine styles of Burgundy and the characteristics of each wine, further enhancing your understanding of the style behind the label and increasing your knowledge of this complex region. This class also includes Premier and Grand Cru level wines.

This masterclass will be led by JC Viens, who is a Certified Tutor of the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and a holder of the WSET Diploma, seen as an essential qualification to becoming Master of Wine.
