Tasting Notes

This section will find benchmark tasting notes of wines previously used in WSET Level 3 Award in Wines classes.

During each class, I record the aromas and flavours called by students. I also note the benchmark established as a group for levels of Sweetness, Acidity, Tannins and other lines of the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting Level 3. The notes below are a comprehensive compilation from separate classes, thus being a “benchmark of benchmarks”.

They also include a link to the technical file of each wine and where in Italy you can purchase the wines for practice.

These benchmarked tasting notes guide tasters practising for WSET Levels 3 and 4 (and even for Sommeliers and Masters of Wine) to develop accurate exam-tasting skills.
